Low Back Pain (LBP)

LBP is a common musculoskeletal complaint experienced by approximately 75-85% of people at some time in their lives and is ranked as the greatest contributor to global disability and 6th in terms of overall burden.

Pain

In acute and subacute instances (injury <3 months) pain is an output from the brain to prevent further injury to the damaged tissue. However pain mechanisms become more complex in chronic pain (injury > 3 months).

Sports Injuries

Sport often demonstrates explosive movements with jumping, twisting and turning movements that put significant force through tissues and it is therefore not uncommon for injury to occur. However, a progressive return to sport is required to reduce the risk of re-injury.

K-Tape / Sports Tape
